Romanian passport for Ukrainians, citizens of the Russian Federation and the CIS

The passport of Romania is a passport of a citizen of the European Union. The holder of a Romanian passport can, without a visa, cross the borders of more than 150 countries of the world, obtain higher education in Europe, create their own business or buy property, live and work in the EU, receive free medical care, have social benefits and much more. The Romanian passport offers all the rights and possibilities of a resident of the European Union.

In order to become a full-fledged citizen of Romania, it is not enough to receive only a Romanian Citizenship Certificate (Certificate of Citizenship). People wishing to become full-fledged residents in this Southeast country must also obtain a passport. As in any other country, the passport is considered to be the main citizenship certificate.

How to get a Romanian passport?

After receiving a citizenship certificate, the applicant has the possibility to issue an internal and international passport for Romania. Registration is possible without registering an internal passport. Ask, what is the difference between them? Practically nothing! Only when you receive a foreign passport of Romania without the preliminary registration of an internal document, it will indicate your current place of residence (for example, Ukraine)

A citizen of Romania has a huge amount of prizes from the European Union. He can study, live, work, receive healthcare in all the EU Member States, and visit more than 100 countries in a visa-free regime, not to pay real estate tax. All Europeans have the right to take loans and mortgages for buying accommodation across the European Union.

Our lawyers will help all our clients collect the package of documents to obtain the Romanian passport and issue a birth certificate (birth certificate) on the basis of which the passport will be issued.

To obtain an internal passport, you will need to pre-issue a birth certificate and registration in Romania. For this, our lawyers will prepare a special contract between you and the Romanian party. The latter is the owner of the buildings in Romania. The contract refers to the fact that you do not request part of the other party’s house. You are then registered in this country and you are entitled to receive your internal passport, also known as an ID card.

The certificate is issued in 30-60 days, and the internal passport in about 2 weeks. If you are executing a foreign passport of Romania, the procedure lasts even less. So in almost two months you can become a citizen of Romania. Our lawyers will also take care to give you a free identification number in just 5-7 days. All the procedures of document processing by our company are reliable, secure, confidential and transparent.

Some customers are afraid that after having received a Romanian passport they will have to give up the Ukrainian one. In practice, the situation is different. Indeed, according to Article 4 of the Constitution of Ukraine “There is single citizenship in Ukraine”. What does this mean?

The Government of Ukraine is trying to strengthen the responsibility of its citizens who have received or obtained the citizenship of another state. The members of the Ukrainian parliament have adopted an appropriate resolution according to which criminal liability is provided for hiding the second passport. But this resolution has not yet been signed by the President of Ukraine and, most likely, this will never happen. The current law of Ukraine does not expressly forbid having the citizenship of another state. It will simply not be recognized by the Constitution of Ukraine and in fact it is possible to have 2-3 citizenships if the migration service does not know about it.
